This piece was created for a 3rd year module titled "Animation for Multimedia". The brief for the project was to create an interactive animation piece based on the childhood toy puzzles of sliding pieces. I worked with fellow student Tom Stockley on this project with Tom working on the design of our idea and myself putting it together to make it work.
We came up with the idea of having the sliding puzzles control the creation of an abstract landscape. In the piece there are eight sliders each connected to a different landscape "element". Each element has 3 animated variations, of which one is selected at random every time that particular slider is moved into a certain position on the puzzle. Once Tom had completed designing the piece I set about making the finished puzzle in flash.
To have a go with the puzzle please use the following link to download the folder containing the puzzle and the landscape elements.
